Father's Day

Rosie

This year Father's Day was entertaining and sweet.  After the church block was over, the sisters in Relief Society all marched outside and down to the Priesthood room playing Ukuleles and singing Marshallese love songs.  As they crowded into the front of the room still singing, they draped bubble gum leis around their necks and gave them one Bic razor.  Every man in the room was treated the same way and given the gifts, even the missionaries.  I guess it didn't matter if they were fathers or not.  I love the Marshallese tribute songs; they sing with all of their hearts and at the top of their lungs.  Norm was smiling and impressed with the kind expressions.  One of the sisters, Rosie a good friend of mine, gave me a turtle necklace and said I could go put it on my husband, so he had a lei and a turtle around his neck.  We are making special memories that are priceless.
